TTO Mission

Technology Transfer is the process of transferring applied research, discoveries and innovations to private sectors and university's incubators. This involves several steps. The process starts when a faculty member, graduate student or staff (i.e. inventor) of a university comes up with a prove of concepts to assure the proposed research idea is applicable and can bring a valid prototype. The TTO is the office that handles the relationship between the involved different stakeholders as follows:

•          Technology Producers.

•          Technology Consumers.

•          Product Producers.

•          Product Consumers.

•          Resource Providers.

The TTO typically evaluates the invention’s economic prospects and decides whether to protect the IP by securing a patent, copyright or trademark or by keeping the invention a trade secret. The TT office works as a mediator between researches and the application units work side by side with grant office and IP office.
